An update for our players, members and supporters.
Dear all,
As some of you will be aware, last Saturday's Barclay Shield game against the Epping Cricket Club had to be abandonded at the Tea break due to an altercation between our captain, Paul Baker and an Epping player.
As a result of this altercation, Paul has resigned as captain of our club, effective immediately.
The club executive has appointed Jamie Davis as captain for the remainder of the 2011/12 season. Jordan Dean will continue in his role as Vice Captain.
The club would like to thank Paul for his many years of service with the club, he has been a champion of our competition and will be remembered as one of theĀ greatest players to play the game in the DVCA.
The club asks each and and every one of our players, members and supporters to stick together through this tough time and to finish the year off in a positive manner. We have absolute confidence in Jamie and the leadership group to drive us in the right direction for the remainder of the year, he's been very positive in the direction he wants to take for the last three games of this year and we wish him the best of luck.
